Gorgeous and practical on a budget
We were going to tile our entire shower, but then I saw this. It was perfect for our guest bathroom remodel. Looks like real tile for a lot less money! The customization options are endless to truly make your shower unique. I can’t speak to the installation as our contractor did it, but I love how it turned out. The contractor loved it too. He had never seen anything like it and said he was going to suggest this alternative to his customers.

Not satisfied
After trying to install this ourselves we weren’t satisfied with the outcome so we hired someone to install it. It LOOKED great but after just one month the bottom is starting to turn yellow and it seems flimsy in some areas! I went by the reviews with all of the happy customers but I guess I am just not one of them. We will definitely replace within the next few months! Super disappointed :(

Not the easiest shower to install
Light weight and kinda flimsy, this surround requires several sticks of 1x3 backers nailed to the studs prior to installation.
It also requires special polymer adhesive at $9/tube. You also have to caulk all joints with the same polymer adhesive/sealer.
Factor about $100 in additional materials
To install tile, more of that caulk and lots of it.
Not sure how long the grout will hold. The walls flex a lot if some one were to lean on them.
At some point those caulked joints will mold an DC that grout will crack.
Lastly the curb is so narrow that we had to perform a small miracle to get the doors hung.
I would get a better rigid 3 piece surround that doesn't need $100+ in additional material and doesn't need caulking.

Wish their was a no star review. The panels are thin and flimsy, the grout lines protrude out the back, instead of the back being flat. For the install they provide double face tape to secure while the adhesive is drying but the likely hood of sticking the tape where there is a grout line would result with a bulged area and the adhesive not making good contact around it along with the fact the panels can't set flush on the mounting surface that is to be glued because of the grout lines (not good). The base is pure white and shiny and the wall panels are not. It's advertised as having a high gloss finish but it doesn't. It has a rough texture finish that looks like grout. There are flaws that look like it has deep scratches under the finish and areas that look like someone through a softballs at it. Total junk for something that is direct to stud install and is to be a permanent part of your bathroom. All the shower components got returned and will never buy any Delta branded products again. The quality and finish is so poor it's hard to imagine they could even package and ship something like this and expect you to stick it in your home. Being white it's hard to get good pictures but will try and post them.

I provided an earlier review and didn't think I'd be able to use the shower based upon dimensions. But my contractor took another look and we got creative and finished it last summer. I forgot to update with pics so here we go. Note that the Moen grab bar shelves do require additional support behind the wall, so preplanning is critical.

It is a great way to remodel bathroom without an expensive cost. I love that you are able to choose your own tile to make it uniquely your design. We loved it so much we installed it both in our master and son's bathroom but they look different because we chose different tile, doors, etc and we tiled the wall above the shower to ceiling as well to give a more dramatic look. I wish the shower had a shinier glossy finish but it still looks great with the white clean look. We have had the shower in master bedroom since August and it cleans nicely and still looks white and clean.

I really thought this surround gave me the best of both worlds: a waterproof shower that could be customized with the tile of my choice. Our contractor read the directions and installed it. He had no problems. The glass tile I picked really added a luxury touch. The surround itself has more of a mattte finish. It doesn't exactly look like tile, but I didn't want that many grout lines. This looked better and was less exspensive than the other options out there in my opinion. Pick it up at the store if you have the choice, mine arrived in perfect condition.
