Q:Is there an adjustment for the float switch? Mine turns off prematurely leaving several inches of water in the basin. If I hold the float all the way to the top it will discharge, but it stops when the float is only half way to the bottom.

Q:To Owners: Are the screws, connecting the top and bottom parts of the pump impeller housing, made of stainless steel? Everbilt cannot give me a definite answer.

Reliable
I live in an area where the water table is very shallow - or very high -depending on your vantage point. Dig about 4-6 inches below the foundation, you'll hit water. I have four sump pumps scattered about my basement and I live or die by those pumps. If one fails I'll have to redo my basement - again. Unfortunately, not all the collection bucket/pits are the same diameter. Even though I've learned to do periodic inspection and maintenance of the pumps, I can't completely prevent iron build-up which can unknowingly, burn out the motor. The next pump in line for replacement is the narrowest bucket. Theses pumps are reliable and relatively inexpensive. Just remember, if you're not doing a drop-in replacement, make sure you have all the fittings on hand before you install...

Solid little pump
This is the 3rd everbilt pump I have used and they work great and perform flawlessly as needed. Priced well and have good service life. I have one that’s 2 yrs old and still going strong. It’s solid and heavy for the size, cord has long enough length to get the electrical connection away from the water areas. The base is a formed plastic so it won’t corrode over time. Just hook up your desired discharge piping or a hose kit from everbilt and it’s set to run.

Great Solid Pump
This Everbilt 1/3 HP Aluminum Sump Pump is made of solid materials. It comes with an output adaptor for either a 1-1/2 - 1-1/4 inch drainage pipe. The vertical switch allows for a more narrow well and reduces the chance of the switch getting stuck or obstructed by debris in the well. I am installing this sump pump as a backup to my 1 HP Everbilt pump which has been running for several years at my house on a Bay where the water table constantly rises. These pumps have proven to keep my basement from flooding.

Great Water Sump Pump
Everbilt 1/3 HP Aluminum Sump Pump Vertical Switch. This is a must have if you have a sump pump. The price is good so I have it as a back-up for when my pump fails, they all do eventually. This isn't in the same class as the high dollar pumps but they cost too much to have one as aback up. I would buy one of the expensive pumps if I needed it for a location that was constantly pumping a lot of water. This pump, at half of the price has everything you need, like an overload protection, rated for continuous duty, doesn't use a lot of power and will pump all the water you need in a typical residential sump even after a long rain storm. Don't forget to grab a back flow check valve.

Powerful
Needed a sump pump for my crawl space, where room is a premium. This pump fits all my needs with the standard 1-1/2 fitting. Comes with an ample power cord and has a nice top loop for installation into the pit. Upon the installation we found it not only pumps very well but is also quiet. Sound was a concern as the pit is under our master bedroom and we find in to be a non issue.

FAILURE
Bought this in late February and installed it. it's been working without issue UNTIL today. It's been less than a month of service....went into the basement last night and all was well....went down this morning and was greeted by 4 inches of water covering my entire basement. THOUSANDS in damages.....NOT a happy camper.

This is a great water mover but since I've installed it the float has detached a number of times, so I'm constantly getting called back to re-instal it. Can't charge customer for going back so have been losing $.
