          Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Lin. Induction cooking uses electric currents to directly heat pots and pans through magnetic induction. Instead of using thermal conduction (think gas or electric), induction heats the cooking vessel itself almost instantly. Click the link for more details about our induction range (https://images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/00/0076518f-ab21-416f-b66a-5230aa4394df.pdf). -Derrick

A:  Induction cooktops use a magnetic field to heat the cooking vessel, instead of conventional stoves that heat an element then transfer that heat to the cooking pot/pan. Much more efficient and quicker. I can bring a pot of water to a boil in 2 minutes. Safer for use around children as stove top cools much more quickly. You will love it! However your cookware must have bottoms that are strongly attracted to a magnet. I had to get new cookware!

Should have bought an induction range sooner!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how fast it heats and boils water. We cook with cast iron and the stove top stays so nice and clean. Would never go back to electric! Thanks Frigidaire we couldn’t be happier!

I've had the oven for less than a year and the door just exploded. We were baking french toast sticks at 450 degrees, all we had in the oven was a baking sheet with the sticks and the outer glass just exploded everywhere, including my 18-year-old daughter who was nearby. Luckily she was not harmed but I want others to know the possibility of this happening to them. Please see pictures below (although these don't do it justice).

                    Imploding Oven
It's unfortunate that is has to come to this but I do want to make everyone aware of my experience with this brand in general. I've had my new house for about 2 weeks and on the second week, I made a pizza for my family, once the pizza was done I turned the oven off sat down and was enjoying the company when all of a sudden we heard a big pop and what sounded like a million marbles falling. Assuming it was my dog I got up and went to the kitchen just to see that the oven glass was completely shattered. Obviously we cleaned up the glass and the next day my mom called the company and was given a reply along the lines of "too bad so sad you are not the original owner." Now keep in mind, almost no one moves with an oven. I then sent an email stating that I would like a little bit more assistance as to what may have happened. Now keep in mind their customer service has a 3-day reply window. Fast forward a month of me expressing my concern and all they are willing to do is replace the glass. I spoke with two representatives and a supervisor. I've had a technician come to my house and look at the oven when asking him what may have happened and if they replace the glass will this happen again, to which the "TRAINED TECHNICIAN" just shrugged. I asked the supervisor the same exact questions to which she said she cannot predict the future. I replied that I feel that this will happened again if the glass is just replaced. She stated "I would love to know how you can predict the future and just teach me how to do that" This is a very brief summary of what I had to deal with, more or less I would not recommend this brand to anyone and I feel bad for anyone what has to deal with their "Customer Service". I since have purchased a new oven (because I had to) and asked them for assistance on that since it was their faulty product that had me do this. To which they said "that was your choice" Well, of course, it is my choice, I've had glass in my kitchen for a month now and absolutely no answers from the customer service. I feel that they could have a little more trust and stand behind their own product instead of saying it is a "cosmetic issue". The thing imploded inside my kitchen... I hope this helps the next person who decides to purchase this product and has an issue. Good luck.

                      Works Really Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a wornderful stove for quick cooking. The induction heating is very quick and very controllable. Easy to control the temperature precisely.

                        OK Oven
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven tempreture runs about 25 degrees hotter then the setting indicates.

Range works as expected. Getting used to its speed, but really like it. Would give it a "5" based on its use for a couple of weeks. Wanted a convection oven model and thought that that is what I was ordering. The "Specification" was very misleading in the way it was written. I was convinced that that is what I was getting from the "Specification" sheet linked from the HD description. I examined the web site to see whether this mode had a convection oven and concluded that it did after reading the specification sheet (see image). Pretty disappointed in that. Feels like deceptive advertising. Would give that a "1" for misleading spec sheet. The oven works fine, just not what I wanted. Would have given overall rating of 5 if it had the convection oven.

The door handle broke after 1 year
The induction range has worked great and been exactly what I wanted for a cooktop. The oven is okay. However the while thing seems shoddily built because the oven door handle broke after only a year of use. I wouldn't recommend Frigidaire after this.
