Once you've used induction, you'll never go back
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our induction range, which we purchased in 2019, so going on 4 years. That being said, we are ecstatic that we decided to purchase the extended warranty. As we were researching the choice for induction, Consumer Reports had issued a warning that the acceptance in North America (different in Europe where it induction was widely utilized) has been hampered by the lack of service people who could repair the unit, should it become non-functional. So the option for a 3 year extension of the warranty made sense to us, making any breakdown an issue for KitchenAid, not the owners. Well indeed, that prognostication by Consumer Reports did somewhat come true. We have just started having an issue with the induction cooktop. While preparing on the cooktop, we will have repeatedly occur, perhaps once every 2nd or 3rd day, a shut down of the induction elements. The entire surface unit will not respond with any lighting up of the touch sensitive switches, and the elements all shut off, making the cooking process come to a standstill. There is a warning beep that goes off during this episode, about every 15-20 seconds. The only solution is to go to the basement, and check the circuit breaker. The circuit has not flipped (the oven portion of the range is still functional, and oven light comes on, etc.) but if we flip it "off" for a few seconds, then back on, the cooktop comes back to life, and dinner can proceed in its march forward. The cooktop might shut down again, or not, as it is variable and unpredictable. I called the warranty service line, and we are scheduled for a service call next week. Whether this is a minor relay problem, or a major (expensive) issue is awaiting the repair person's visit. Additionally, and unrelated but concurrently, the fan for the convection oven's circulation of heat through the oven, has started making a loud, persistent clacking noise as if one of the fan blades is striking a strut or the mounting screws are loose and it is banging against the side of the fan opening. Also to be diagnosed when service arrives. The baking drawer is one aspect that we have not used much. I have noted it is somewhat shallow in it depth, and many things I would bake in a Pyrex or Corning Ware container will not fit in the shallow depth of the baking drawer. For cookies or something on a sheet pan, it is perfect especially in the summer when you do not want to heat up the whole kitchen pre-heating the large oven.

          Better than Gas!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This induction range has exceeded my expectations in every way. The temperature control, ease of use in controlling the temperature you cook at is exceptional and efficient. It is so EASY to keep clean. We also purchased the Lazy K Induction Cooktop Mats to prevent pans from scratching the cooktop and they are wonderful and easy to clean. My only regret ... I shouldn't have waited so long to make this purchase.

Easy to use and clean...no knobs!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great looking addition to the kitchen. Nothing better than induction!

              Disappointing for the money
My husband tried to buy quality and this is our 4th service call on this oven since buying it two years ago. Currently still not working (very inconvenient for a homeschooling family of 7 who lives in the country). There are lots of things to love, like the really fast response and stovetop speed. But the oven bakes unevenly, and it take at least 20 min to preheat to 350. I was hoping to use the stovetop as work surface, but if you set a pan over the controls it beeps until it’s removed! Very unhelpful. Also every button peeps when pressed…waking up sleeping people to heat water at 6:00am. Please make a way to shut off the beep, kitchenaid. At this very moment we are waiting an immeasurable amount of time to get the “main board” shipped in to replace. Pretty sure main boards should not be going out two years into a 3,200$ oven. Very sad. We trusted kitchen aid, but are disappointed that it turns out you can really only trust Jesus!

Induction is great! Stove not so much
Cooking induction is great. Stove we wanted wasn't available, so we got this one. We don't like that it's digital, wish there were knobs or a combination. Constantly pressing, beeping and finger prints. Our big issue though is the back vent when the oven in use. There is so much heat coming out, the quartz wall (not particularly resistent to heat at that) gets dripping from condensation from that heat vent, to the point of us checking under when we first noticed and there was a puddle of water on the hardwood. So anytime the oven is used higher than 375F, we pull it away from the wall. It's a wonder an oven venting so much heat out, this thing must be on constantly to maintain its heat. Brand new stove, brand ne house, not something to be expected. We had another one with back vent before and no way it was like that. Will likely change it as soon as we can.

                  Simply thrilled!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had it for a few weeks, but we already love it. The oven cooks evenly and thoroughly and the cooktop is a joy. There was a learning curve to begin as the controls are so different and, as I am very short, I still have instances of accidentally turning on something for the oven as the controls are on the front where my arm touches. We also installed a stainless backsplash and, as we also bought a KitchenAid Microwave, we have a completely new look to begin our remodel. My only complaint is that the timer buzzer is very faint and only dings once. I wish there were an adjustment for that.

                    Very Disappointed
I bought this induction oven a few months ago. I have had Kitchen Aid appliances all my life and this one has proven to be the worst stove I’ve ever owned. This "slide-in" range does not come with overlapping sides, so food falls between the stove and the cabinets requiring constant pulling out and cleaning. The AquaLift self-cleaning oven function does not work at all and using oven cleaning products negates the warranty so you have to live with a dirty oven. Nothing can be placed on top of the stove (like a pan pulled out from the oven) unless you’re actually using a burner because an annoying alarm goes off and continues with no option of turning it off until you remove the item! The timer sound is so faint it cannot be heard so we can’t use it! The stainless steel scratches and dents very easily and shows fingerprints. It is very difficult to control the temperature of the burners with the temperature slide feature. The timer and burners turn off randomly in the midst of cooking or baking for no reason - I’ve had to restart a burner 7-8 times which adds to my cooking time unnecessarily. The oven does not bake evenly - I am a baker and everything I’ve made has been half-burned. The oven takes forever to heat up (it’s the slowest oven I’ve ever encountered). I bought the slide-in version of this range almost a year ago and after having Kitchen Aid appliances since the 1980s, it has proven to be the worst range I have ever owned. This "slide-in" range does not come with overlapping sides, hence food falls between the stove and the cabinets requiring constant pulling out and cleaning; the AquaLift self-cleaning oven function does not work at all and using oven cleaning products negates the warranty so you have to live with a dirty oven; Nothing can be placed on top of the stove, other than the actual burners, even when removing hot items from the oven, as an annoying alarm goes off and continues with no option of turning off until you remove the item; the timer sound is so weak it cannot be heard so we have to use an independent manual timer and the stainless steel scratches and dents very easily. It is very difficult to control the temperature of the burners with the temperature slide feature; the timer and burners just seem to turn off randomly in the midst of cooking or baking for no reason. I will be replacing it as soon as I save enough money to do so, without re-selling it as I would not subject this frustration to anyone else. After 30 years of being a KitchenAid fan, it is time to move on to another brand.

Fantastic stove - better than any I’ve ever had
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is my first induction stove and I’m glad I made the decision to go with induction. I love how granular you can control the heat, as well as how quickly I can boil a pot of water. I would highly recommend this over a standard electric ceramic stove. Kitchen aid has thought about many little things in designing this stove, like how easy you can slide out the oven racks. You just need to ensure that your pots and pans are compatible with induction stoves (test by seeing if a magnet sticks to the bottom)

                        Outstanding cooking features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Kitchen Aid Induction Range to replace a Jenn Aire downdraft range over 30 years old. I love the instant heat, specific heat control and ease of operation. It really updated my lake house kitchen with the new Kitchen Aid microwave I had installed.

                          Heats fast, cooks evenly
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought this range about a month ago. We wanted induction since we have 5 kids and the oldest three are learning how to cook. The induction is fantastic and works great. I nly wish there were two elements that had a larger base otherwise it has been great. The oven part has worked very well, heats up quickly and evenly. My only complaint is that when in came, some of the side sealant was rough and not smooth like the rest was. Disappointing because when you pay a lot you expect it to be 100%
