AnswerHi Wayne. As instructed in the owner's manual, the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG has to be plugged into a dedicated grounded electrical outlet rated for at 115 V, 60 Hz AC only (115 V is outdated and typically no longer supplied by utilities. However, 115 volts nominal may be referred to by equipment design standards as this is the Nominal Utilization Voltage as defined by ANSI C84.1.) 120 volts is the common lower voltage supplied by US utilities. It is provided by the utility as 120 volts ±5%. The National Electrical Code requires that every fixed appliance be served by a separate, dedicated circuit, not shared with any other appliance. Appliances without a dedicated circuit may draw more current than the circuit can handle, tripping breakers, blowing fuses, and overheating wire insulation causing breakdown and the possibility of electrical fires...^IFV

Great refrigerator w a few exceptions
I loved the finish on this but discovered it is just a film. The film started coming off at the bottom of the door handles. Only my husband and myself are in the home and never grab the handles at the bottom. After much discussion with customer service and ultimately a supervisor, I was able to get the doors replaced at LG's cost even though it was out of warranty. This is was a quality issue and not something I caused. I was happy that they finally agreed and helped me out. The only other thing is because it is counter depth (something I have never had before) it is quite small inside. Bottom line is it is a good refrigerator and I ended up quite happy with customer service.

Good Appliance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, so good: I am pleased with all the key features - the performance, the counter-depth, and the capacity. It looks very good in the kitchen with the other black appliances. Not so pleased with the '10 Year Warranty' sticker right on the front door: I understand it is not removable and would leave a mark.

Was about an inch taller than measurements given on line due to the plastic covering over top hin...
Was about an inch taller than measurements given on line due to the plastic covering over top hinges but we were still able to make it work in the limited space we had. Other than that we are very happy with this frig. Larger capacity than our old one, bigger ice cube storage, especially like the freezer on bottom and frig on top design.

Great refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recommend treating it with a stainless steel cleaner first. Wish it had water filter for ice and air filter in the top compartment. Ice maker works very fast and the ice cubes don't melt and brick in the freezer. The inside layout is very well thought out. Very quiet.

Highlight of recent remodel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in December 2016 for my complete kitchen remodel. I absolutely love it and so do my family and friends. It's the highlight of my beautiful new kitchen as shown in my photo. I needed one that was counter depth and of a certain height to fit in the space. Wanted blk stainless steel, french doors, and interior icemaker (no water filter, unfortunately). LG had the product I needed. Keeps all my food fresh and with the bright interior lighting, no more looking for food in the back. I LOVE THIS FRIDGE ( just put a water filtration system and I'd want to give it 6 stars )!
