from the live chat with a Canadian Samsung service agent, you could get away with a 50 AMP 250 circuit operating all 4 elements at max wattage of 8400W, leaving about 15 AMP (3600W) for the oven. note like most agents, they don't give you hard and fast simple answer and to pod them thru to an answer.  at 14:01, Dec 22: Thank you for choosing to chat with us. An agent will be with you shortly. If you have pre-ordered Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and are eagerly waiting for Gear Icon X ear buds, please note shipment of the Samsung Gear IconX is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks, subject to completion of requirements set out in this link Info  at 14:01, Dec 22: You are now chatting with Victor. Gary  at 14:04, Dec 22: good Victor  at 14:05, Dec 22: You must use a 3-wire or 4-wire, single-phase A.C. 208Y/120 Volt or 240/120 Volt, 60 hertz electrical system. Gary  at 14:06, Dec 22: for 249/120 ac what is the samperage Gary  at 14:06, Dec 22: amperage, i mean Victor  at 14:09, Dec 22: It is roughly at 40 Amps. Gary  at 14:11, Dec 22: meeting the above requirements, are there limitation of simultaneous use of the range and oven? Victor  at 14:12, Dec 22: No, you could use both at a time as well/. Victor  at 14:12, Dec 22: However, make sure that the Range connected to the electrical supply more than the given amp rating. Gary  at 14:13, Dec 22: what is required then if all top elements are used at max together with voen? Victor  at 14:15, Dec 22: That will be informed by the professional installer depends on the electrical supply available at the installation place. Gary  at 14:16, Dec 22: will there be less limitation for 40AMP 240V curcuit vs 120 V Victor  at 14:17, Dec 22: The Range should be connected to the 240V supply for proper functionality. Gary  at 14:21, Dec 22: looks 50 Amp 240V will let me use all 4 top elements at 8400 W leaving 15 Amp for the oven. is 15 amp enoguth for the oven? Victor  at 14:24, Dec 22: I can say Yes for a rough value but not to be exact. From <https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/search/?keyword=NE58F9500SS%20input>

Since this stove is an induction does it require a certain type of pot/pan to be used on it?

Asked by: Danielle
Not ALL cookware that can hold a magnet will work on this range. I have learned the hard way. I have several Copper Chef pieces which hold magnet and advertise that they work on induction. I like to use the big right burner for my eggs. It worked for a week, then stopped. After three service calls and replacement of the coils, the board then the entire glass top, I heard every excuse they could come up with. The consensus was that the "shape" of the pan and the irregular surface that is textured with small circles in the bottom didn't allow for enough contact. I thought the shape or even the size was supposed to be of no consequence to its function, and no one considered that it worked for the first week. I'm terribly disappointed that Samsung can't either give me a better explanation or repair it. I supposed that I also need to let Copper Chef know that there are exceptions. The other burners are substantially undersized for the pan I am using :(

Can I use the warming drawer as a storage for all my pans/cookie sheets? That is where I store all of them in my current range and would miss that storage space.

5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Range with Virtual Flame Technology in Stainless Steel is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t Buy I purchased this stove a month ago and on the first use the oven wouldn’t come to a desired temperature of 400 after an hour it still hadn’t got to 350. Called Home Depot they informed me it was Samsung’s issue since it was in the first 48 hrs. Called Samsung they informed me I had to have a tech come out to service it before I could get a new stove or return for my money. Which I found out later to be a lie. So I scheduled them to bring a tech out. The earliest was a week out so I scheduled that. The tech never showed... called Samsung back to find out I could just return my stove and get my money back. Scheduled a pickup for week and a half out since they weren’t running on the Saturday before Easter. Called yesterday because I hadn’t heard a window yesterday for pickup and the had canceled the pickup without letting me know. Scheduled again for Thursday will see if it works then. Over a month and still don’t have a working stove that I paid $2200 for. Worst customer service ever.

The oven is also very nice. I use cast iron or induction-capable stainless steel pots & pans only. The control of the heat is superb, in many ways better than gas. I like that the knobs are in the front, not at the back like many are. The cleaning of the range top is so easy, I just use a wet sponge with a bit of dishsoap and then a dry towel to polish it up. Since induction does not bake it on like a standard electric range top, even the worst gravy spills just wipe right up. If electric is your only option, you may just like this stove better than a gas stove - I sure do! I am a "hobbyist" chef, in that I enjoy creating many different recipes - french, italian, mexican, and this stove is just right. I highly recommend this stove!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Glass cooktop 5yr parts warranty is a LIE After three years of using this range 2 burners went out simultaneously. I wasn’t worried because of Samsung‘s stated five year warranty for glass cooktop. It turns out that it is only to replace the actual glass and not to repair the malfunction of the cooktop. It will cost $544 to repair. Beware of Samsung!

This never ceases to amaze me.... first the lack of a back panel is fantastic... second, induction cooks about 100 times better than gas.... no matter what, a gas flame is ~2550 degrees, a regular electric cooktop just turns on and off and on and off... this cooks precisely to temperature, even if you want to just have a soft stick of butter, but still look like a stick of butter... all the way to making hard candies that require super high temps. You can even get an induction flat griddle pan to hit 950 degrees so you can make pizza in about 6 minutes.... it's fast, doesn't heat up your kitchen, the flex duo oven is great, the probe roasting is great, and we use the warming drawer all the time. We've gone from a $14K gaggenau double oven and warming drawer and $4K thermador electric cooktop to this... and this is by far so much better... don't even hesitate... buy it.

All I wanted was a slide in range for my kitchen remodel but then I read this was the closest thing to cooking with gas which is all I’ve ever known. I love this better than gas! If something is boiling and you turn it down it instantly stops boiling just like gas. I had a nice electric Samsung stove that came with the house but every time I boiled something over it left a mess on the glass, not this stove! If your on the fence I say buy it. It’s a beautiful looking range too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this range! This induction range is close to a gas range, maybe even better. I knew induction ranges had a reputation for bringing things to a boil quickly but i was more interested in turning down the heat to avoid food boiling over and to cook food at a simmer. Just as with a gas range when you turn down the heat the temperature is reduced almost immediately. No more scrambling to find a pot holder so you can slide pot out of the way to avoid a boil over. And yes, you can cook food at a simmer unlike my previous electric range with a ceramic cook top. Because the range heats the pot and not an element underneath the cook top, if you move a pot and accidently touch the just vacated cooking zone you'll feel that it's hot but not enough to burn yourself. One other feature I like is the controls are in the front and not in the rear. I am confined to a wheelchair so I appreciate that I no longer have to reach across the range to reach the controls. You pay a premium for front mounted controls but in my case it was worth it. Regarding the oven, as it is the Summer, I have only use it twice and it seemed fine. I wasn't dissatisfied with the oven in standard range; I just wanted the features on an induction cook top and this model delivers it

You need the induction because you need to put paper or cloth towels on the range to prevent any liquid, condensation or over flow from running down the face of the range into the door. I had a pot that boiled over, a little. The liquid then ran down the face of the stove into the door vents and stained the inside of the door. The only way to clean it was to pay for a service engineer to come and take the door a part. The door vents also make the door handle very hot. I use the warming tray for storage. Be careful because it is very easy to touch the control panel by mistake and turn on the warming tray. I found out of these poor design features with the first year. For $3000, really. I also bought the matching microwave. If you have any steam coming off the range top, you must always put on the the fan. Steam will get inside of the microwave door.
