7.5 Total cu. ft. Electric FlexDry Dryer with Steam in Black Stainless

we bought this dryer with the matching washer in 2019. 3 months ago we got a heat error code and called repair to check the dryer. certified samsung. they took it apart and found no obstruction for the heat code. assembled and reassembled the dryer 4 times and could no longer even get the dryer to come on. samsung repair guy says samsung and LG are the 2 worst for repair people. they discontinue parts on models within a year or two of being on the market and part numbers constantly change. repair guys cannot find the parts to repair our dryer. they tell me samsung TV's are excellent but their appliances are some of the worst in the industry. good aesthetics and cool features, but they break down faster than almost all other makes. avoid samsung appliances.

I bought this dryer 3 months ago and it’s not working anymore at the beginning it was taking forever to dry one load and now it’s not drying anymore Worse dryer ever

we bought the flex washer/dryer set a week ago, or so, and have a pretty large compmaint. you can either use a sensing cycle, or a timed cycle (that doesn’t sense humidity) if you want to control the drying temperature. we typically dry most of our clothes on a low heat setting, and the only way to do that, is to use a cycle that does not ‘sense dry’. we dried clothes on “normal”(medium heat) and it was hot. its shrunk towels by using the “towel” setting (high heat), so just buyer beware. otherwise we do like the set a lot, and wouldve given it a 5 rating, had it been more flexible (ironic, lol). oh, and the manual suggests the temperature can be adjusted on any cycle...”press temp to change the temperature of the current cycle”. misleading.

this dryer broke twice within a 12 month period and we have hardly used it. this is the first samsung product that i have owned which has completely proven to be unreliable.

This Samsung FlexDry is a wonderful piece of art and technology. Excellent product for all families especially when you have little kids at home that continue to need nearly daily washing/drying. the top dryer is wonderful for their small clothes and the other dryer fits what the rest of the family needs. it works fast and nearly silent. aesthetically it looks wonderful and complements the looks of a nice residence. Large capacity and a great money saver, fits large items easily and the quality of drying is the best. Highly recommended.

I replaced a dryer that an issue with the lint catcher. The lint catcher design wasn't tested enough to me as it wasn't too smooth to rub your hand across. While drying some of my wife's clothes, they got caught in the lint catcher and proceeded to twist around the lint catcher and ruined lots of clothes and messed up the lint catcher and frame in the dryer. I was looking at many dryers and found the design of the lint catcher was much better and no issues at this time! I really wanted the FlexDry Dryer to see if it I could keep from taking my Jerseys to the dry cleaners. I was washed them with the top of the FlexWash Washer and then proceeded to dry the stitched jerseys in the top dryer on the FlexDry Dryer and not a problem. I have tested many delicate garments and jerseys as it is football season. This is great for me! The dryer is quite large on the interior as I have tested may sized loads from Denim, Towels and Bedding to ensure the items were dry and everything was completely dry! King size comforter and sheets were not a problem to dry thoroughly. Like to steam dry? Well this dryer doesn't need a reservoir to keep filling as the dryer has a water line connected for on demand steam drying! It's much easier now to get that steam dry going! There are many cycles and options to accommodate all types of loads from small, medium, large or oversize. Using Samsungs FlexDry and FlexWash units kind of makes washing and drying easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung smart flex is beyond amazing. Not only does it look great but it is amazing. The system allows for a dual function dryer. One can wash a large of towels at the same time wash small delicate sweaters. This function excites me the most as Iwould relying on a drying rack to dry my seaters. Now I can hit one button and begin thee drying cycle. Beyond amazing. The drum for drying clothes is beyond large and accomandate large beach towels at one time. The basket for cleaning the lint is a double basket allowing one to remove with ease to dump. An amazing function on this machine is the wrinkle realase. It’s not going to press the shirts like the launy cleaners however it will leave the cloths nice and smooth. With this function I will wash and dry with the wrinkle relase and hang up right away. Cuts that dry cleaning bill I’m half. The wi-if functionality in the system is great because if I’m in the back bedroom playing with my daughter I don’t need to guess if the clothes are ready and leave our time together. Now I get updates through my phone allowing me to have more control of my time. This also helps when I am at work and my daughter is still home. Once I receive the text I can call her from work and tell her to empty the dryer. Yeah I would also like to point out the slick color and LCD screen. The color gives a modern look to the house and pops with the LCD when selecting which option that is best for your clothes. The soft chim at the end the dryer cycle is a welcome surprise compared to the prior dreaded buzzer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, let me say, this dryer is simply amazing. Just wow. If someone asked me a month ago if I thought a dryer would be worth $2k, I would have laughed and said no. But after using this dryer for a couple weeks, I can't help but ask myself why I didn't get it sooner. I have, by far, never had a dryer that works as well as this one. This dryer is so feature rich that I have barely scratched the surface on all that it can do. I do like that fact that the electric dryer version can be controlled by your smart phone. I'm sad that the gas dryer version, which I have, can only be monitored with your smart phone and not actually controlled by it. I understand the reasoning for it though since it could be a safety issue, with it being run on gas. One thing to note though, if you get the gas dryer and you try to connect it to your SmartThings app, the manual tells you to press the "Smart Connect" button on the dryer, however, that's only for the electric dryer version. If you're connecting the gas dryer version, the button will be labeled as "Smart Monitor" instead. I think my favorite part of this dryer though is the dual dryer features: Delicate Dryer and Tumble Dryer. The fact that you can dry your delicates at the same time that you dry a normal load is an amazing design. No more having to just dry one article of clothing by itself to keep it safe, now i can just put the delicate article in the top dryer section. Even if I only had 1 piece of clothing to dry, I can still put it in the top section to dry and not run the large tub for just that. There are quite a few dry cycles with this dryer, but the ones I tend to use the most often are (with the Tumble Dryer) the: Normal, Towels, Bedding, Wrinkle Away, Steam Sanitize and the Air Fluff cycles. The other available cycles are: Heavy Duty, Delicates, Refresh, Perm Press, Active Wear and Time Dry. With the Delicate Dryer, the options you have are: Shirt/Blouse, Undergarment, Sweater and Accessory. I mainly just use the shirt dry option for the Delicate Dryer. The main dryer tub is pretty spacious at 7.5 cu ft. I finally have a dryer that will fit my comforters in it. That alone makes me happy to own this. I'm loving this dryer and after trying the FlexDry Dryer, I'm tempted to buy the FlexWash clothes washer too now, especially if it's as good is their dryer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't believe that I've fallen in love with a clothes dryer. It has so many more features than my ancient device had. First of all, this thing has a large dryer drum, great for drying comforters and larger loads. I'm beginning to think this dryer is smarter than I am. Has so many sensors, it practically runs itself. The sensors mean I won't ruin my clothes like I used to on my old dryer. I can connect it to my phone, and I'll know exactly when my clothes are done. I can detect any problems it's having on my phone too. It has a top drying rack which is great when I have to dry delicates, or odd things like shoes, sneakers, and stuffed animals. There are more temperature settings than my old one had, I can tailor them to the load I'm drying. I can use the top rack while using the drum, so that saves me a few trips downstairs, which is awesome. There's a steam feature, it allows me to sanitize my items without destroying them. And it seems to give me way less wrinkles than I'm used to, so much less ironing, it's great. If you're in the market for a new dryer, this one is perfect, you can even switch the door direction! A Big WOW!! Having two dryers within one machine is definitely a laundry game changer. A 7.5 cubic gas dryer. Let’s start with the upper dryer which is roomy enough to dry your delicate, sweaters, bathing suits, stuffed animals sneakers and more. We used to air dry garments on drying racks or the back of chairs, now we longer have to do that with the FlexDry! The upper dryer is a flat rack drying system, so you simply ay your garment in the dryer. The main front loader dryer accommodates large loads and it even dries my king size comforter. The main dryer door has a wide door opening making it easy to toss in larger garments/bedding without a struggle. The flexibility of being able to dry a big load and a small load at the same time is excellent. The dryer is quiet. The FlexDry is state of the art, smart, energy efficient, easy to use and intuitive. You have all the bells and whistles on the FlexDry. The multi steam technology relaxes wrinkles which means less or no ironing, freshens, sanitizes, reduces static and odors. With the sensor dry which has the moisture sensors to protect my clothes from over drying and heat damage. The Wi-Fi connectivity allows me to remotely monitor the status of the laundry simply download the Samsung Smart Thing App. The finger resistant finish means less time cleaning off fingerprints which is a major plus along with the stainless steel drum. The internal drum light allows me to check on the laundry and insure there is nothing left in the dryer. The display colors are ice blue with the display being a digital LED. There is a button for everything delicate, permanent press, towels, sanitize, refresh, active wear, time dry, air fluff and normal. The drying and cooling temperatures can be adjusted along with the time. You have eco dry, mixed load bell, anti-static, smart monitor, child lock and more. When was the last time you checked the house dryer vent? No worries the FlexDry has the vent sensor which continually monitors the air duct and notifies me when it’s time to clean the vent, what a fantastic safety feature. The Smart care technology allows me to trouble shoot and diagnosis the dryer from my smartphone or tablet which saves money on having a serviceman come in. The door can be reversed so it accommodates your laundry room needs. Both the top and bottom dryer play a tune when the drying cycle is complete. The dryer is 50” in height so it taller than other dryers, keep that in mind and in my opinion there is no need to place the dryer on a pedestal. I was able to dry my first load without reading the manual, but to fully learn all about the FlexDry I will be reading the manual. Pair the FlexDry with the FlexWash and you have a state of the art laundry room. Samsung takes laundry to a whole another level. Who knew laundry could be fun and not a chore, Samsung sure knew how to make that come true. I without a doubt recommend the FlexDry.
