19.4 cu. ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator in Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel with 4-Doors

I have had to have the LED light replaced 3 times. The gasket that surrounds the top doors moves constantly and gets squashed, it is now starting to tear. The "silver' on the shelving is wearing off and looks horrible. I have never been so disappointed with a Whirlpool product as I am with this one.

I am reaching out to you regarding the cooling or lack of in my refrig. I actually love this double french door refrigerator. The inside is small which keeps me from storing things i don't need. The little ledge between the upper refrig and lower freezer is perfect for holding object while you storing food inside. Or taking it out. My problem is the cooling system keeps breaking down. I bought it in July 2023 and September 2025 it just stop working. Temperature got up to 65 degrees before I could get anyone out to work on it. It took them a month to get it to work consistently. It would work for a week and stop. Now after 11 months it's back to cooling failure. As I write the inside temp is 59 degrees. Both inside and the freezer. I have a warrant but the repair person cannot come for 48 hrs, If they come at all. Meaning I am again going to lose all my refrigerated foods. Last time I didn't file a claim, but this time I will. But the problem isn't with the service call. The problem is with this particular refrigerator. I read a few of the reviews and I did not read anything negative about a cooling issue. I wish you to address this issue. I have a kitchen full of Whirlpool products through many years and I am surprised and disappointed with whaat is happening with this. I would appreciate some type of feedback. I like this model and would like to continue to use it if it is not going to be a consistent issue with the cooling. The motor is running. I can hear it struggling with humming going on and off at times. Other times there is silence. So if you know this to be an issue in this model please advise. We have meds that need refrigeration that I now have to keep in a cooler until this issue is resolved. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After almost 2 months, overall, the fridge seems to be working well. Temps seem consistent and even. It's taking some time to adjust to the different layout from our previous 26yr old fridge. The door shelves should be a bit more adjustable (1.5L wine bottles don't fit). We're also getting used to the ice cubes that are half the size of most cubes. The biggest issue is the heat radiated from the sides of the fridge. Our old model was fine with a tight gap between the sides and the cabinets around it. This fridge specs say to allow for a 1/2" space. However, it was heating up the contents of the adjacent cabinet. Luckily, I was able to take apart that section of cabinet and move it over an inch. That, and adding thin reflective insulation to the outside of the cabinet facing the fridge seems to have brought the temperature back to ambient. Two months isn't really enough time to give a thorough review, so I just hope this fridge lasts half as long as our old one....

WHIRLPOOL IS RUNNING A RACKET. The owners manual states “The lights are LEDs which do not need to be replaced. If the lights do not illuminate when the door is opened, contact the dealer from whom you purchased your refrigerator.” So tell me why when my bulb went lit after 2.5 years, I now either have to pay for an extended warranty or pay out of pocket for Whirlpool to come out and replace the bulb. This is either a design flaw or planned obsolescence. To have an irreplaceable consumable part on a $2600 refrigerator is unfathomable. Shame on Whirlpool AND Home Depot for running this type of scam.

This thing is a piece of junk. I bought one 2 years ago and within 6 months the front display stopped working. Six months later the icemaker quit. 2 years in and the internal light quit. I’m disappointed because I bought Whirlpool because it is supposedly made in the U.S. I won’t make that mistake, again!

This is not a very big refrigerator although it takes up a lot of space. I would not purchase it again. The delivery drivers did over $2k damage to my new floors and brand new front door bringing it into the house, but home depot covered the damages. We paid less than the sale price for it and I still think it's over priced. The doors are a little clunky sounding when closing them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge in May of 2025. We chose this fridge because we don’t want any type of water dispenser. The ice maker can be loud but it does produce a lot of ice and unlike other brands I’ve had, ice doesn’t build up.we did have to take a shelf out because due to the design you can’t have taller items standing up due to lack of height space. However, since December, the display has shown an error code requiring the fridge to be unplugged. This now occurs constantly and trying to get support from whirlpool seems impossible. .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 2 weeks ago and love it. The ice cubes are nice. Water inside the door is also convenient. The finger print resistant stainless steel is awesome. We would recommend this to anyone. No protruding handles. We love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only had the product in service for one week, so I can’t rate reliability or service at this early stage. Although I initially appreciated the design, I’m finding the very user friendly freezer compartments are larger than I require, while the refrigerator compartment is not as large as I would appreciate. I miss not having a full length deli drawer below the vegetable bins. The taller freezer section added height to the access of the larger door compartments where I store gallon size products (milk) making removal and replacement of these bulkier and heavier products perhaps hazardous for elderly or limited access individuals. I was surprised by the excessive heat to the side panels of the refrigerator upon the initial cooling phase. The panels became distorted by the heat - however returned to a smooth surface upon completing the initial cooling phase. The product operates very quietly and at this early stage cools very well in the refrigerator and freezer compartments. The ice maker operates without major noise as the only sound I hear is when the new ice cubes are delivered to the storage tray. The “fingerprint-less” surface is just that as I’m finding no handprints on the stainless steel doors after use. For my installation, I’m finding that leveling the refrigerator is challenging. There are adjustable legs on the front of the unit to level and lock the refrigerator in place. My issue is the rear of the unit needed to be raised ever so slightly to level the unit. I had to utilize shims under the rear wheels to bring the rear of the unit up to level the unit. I never had this issue with my previous product. Not a game breaker, but for those who routinely move their refrigerator for cleaning, a slight inconvenience. The interior access to shelves and compartments is good, especially the separate freezer compartments where all of the drawers/shelves can be pulled out to the user for extremely easy access, especially for those who may have limited mobility. All in all, the product appears to be fine at this early review. The issues mentioned are my experience and preferences.
