A:  We offer many extension cords for this purpose. When checking a Southwire extension cord, please ensure that it is rated for the correct amount of watts needed for this light which would be 250 watts. For additional assistance, please contact our team at 855-798-6657 and we'd be happy to help!

            Clamp was an afterthought
It’s quite obvious by the lack of instructions, and lack of an image on the packaging WITH the clamp attached, that this was originally meant to be a hanging lamp. The clamping device was obviously an afterthought. The end of the main clamp that is supposed to be supported by the device holding it to the lamp is cylindrical. NOT spherical. There is NO WAY that this will ever tighten to an adequate torque. It doesn’t hold the weight of the bulb, much less the cord. I’m thoroughly disappointed and I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU WANT TO USE THE CLAMP DEVICE.

              The Chicks Dig It
The Chicks Dig It. Just joking as I am actually using this brooder lamp to start seedlings in the spring. I have a "Y" bulb splitter and I run a couple of CFL's per lamp and it allows the seedings a period of growth before they finally get transferred outdoors. I've got 2 different brands of these clamp brooder lights, other brought from the blue company, and I like these the best because the hanging hook, not the clamp part, is stronger on this brand and better fastened to the light. The only issue I would report is that the actual lamp is just thin aluminum and bends/dents easy. I internet ordered 6 ship to store and even though they were packed well several were dented and I had to bend them back into shape, not perfect but close. And I hate buying damaged items and paying full price

              No clamp. No switch. Flimsy.
I should have read the details better. I assumed it was a regular clamp-lamp like I've had before. I was disappointed that it actually did NOT have a clamp but rather a little hook. I was going to clamp it to a beam but now I must hang it from something. It will be hard or impossible to aim. It does NOT have a switch of any type so it will need to be unplugged when not in-use. That will make it hard to turn on in the dark. The reflector was bent and I touched it and it bent more. Very flimsy.

Seems pretty well made. Works well. No clamp provided, I just used the hanger.
