A:  Hi there, The pump is made to pump water. Algae can clog the pump and can cause it to fail. You can try it but keep an eyen on it. If it is running but not moving water, remove it and clean it out. Thanks

A:  I don't believe so. It is designed to run only when water gets up to a few inches in depth. A pump like this is designed to keep your basement or crawl space dry.

A:  Thank you for reaching out. Yes these pumps can be placed inside an above ground pool to empty the water. It is just not something you would want to leave in the pool running to circulate the water. These pumps are designed to empty the pool for you. A:  I guess you could, but the real question is why? It would run constantly.

A:  No need to remove the float. It is powered separately so all you have to do is unplug the power cord from the piggyback and plug it directly to a power source. This will by pass the float switch and run the pump constantly.

A:  Not sure why you would want to do that, unless you wanted to replace it with a better one, or you just wanted it to run constantly. But yeah, you could remove it.

A:  Not sure. If it's the same as the 92250 without the float, then possibly. It's just a matter of setting up the float securely, and in line with the power source. I have found the one on the 92250 to be satisfactory.

A:  Hi there, Yes you sure can. We have two types, the 92000 tethered float switch and the 92010 vertical float. Both will work. Thanks

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, The #92250 has a tethered float switch that will turn the pump on at 14” and off at about 3-4” depth of water. You can also operate the pimp manually and take the water down to about 1/8” depth.

A:  Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We have reached out to the manufacturer and their answer is, The 92250 does not come with a hose. It has a fitting to attach to 1-1/2” or 1-1/4” pipe. Hose adapters are available at Home Depot.
