Q:Would I need to seal after I paint my concrete pool deck?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Gioco, thank you for your question. Our Porch & Patio Floor Paint is a stand-alone product that does not require a sealer. Additionally, we do not recommend applying our sealers near a pool deck as they are too slippery. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions. -Lina

Q:When using on bare exterior concrete do I need to prime the concrete or simply power wash then paint after drying?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Rg,
Thank you for writing in. Priming is not required, but it can be done with Behr Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer. We recommend etching the concrete with something like muriatic acid until it feels like 150-grit sandpaper and can absorb water rapidly. This will ensure proper adhesion. I hope this information was helpful. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have. Best of luck with your project!

Q:How does this work on garage floors? Do I need to prep the garage floor with anything before painting. If so, what should I use

Answer This Question
A: Hi Roo - Thank you for your question. Our Porch & Patio Floor Paint is not recommended for garage floors as it was not designed to hold up to tire traffic. If your garage floor will not be driven on, we recommend etching the bare concrete and priming the surface with our Concrete & Masonry Bonding Primer before painting. If your garage floor will be exposed to vehicle traffic, you may want to check out our 1-Part Epoxy for your project instead (https://www.homedepot.com/s/behr%25201-part%2520epoxy?NCNI-5).
