Q:Can I apply paint and stain over the top of 10-year-old behr deck over?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Mark, thanks for the question. As long as the Advanced Deckover is in sound condition, you can apply either water-based paint or stain over the top of it. I would suggest cleaning the deck first with our All-In-One Wood Cleaner, before applying another coating. If you have additional questions about your project, please reach out to us directly. Our customer care team is happy to help. -Ronald

Q:Is the slate a dark dark grey or just fairly darker than the cape cod grey? I am afraid the slate will look black once applied and be real hot?
by|Jul 24, 2024

Answer This Question
A: Hi Shelley, thanks for the question. Slate Gray is fairly darker than Cape Cod Gray. One suggestion is to get an 8 ounce sample of the color so you can see it on your deck. Also, darker colors will absorb more heat than lighter colors. Have a great day! -Ronald
