Round size is about 16.5 inches long, while Elongated size is about 2 inches longer at 18.5 inches. To measure, you typically measure the bowl to determine the size. Once you know the size, you should feel confident that a seat of the same size will fit. You want to measure the bowl from the center of the bolt holes to the front of the bowl. A:  Yes it stays secure. Installed it about a year ago and have had no issues.

A:  The reason your toilet seat loosens is because you're putting all of your weight on one side of the seat when you wipe. If you raise yourself straight up a few inches to wipe, the seat (and the bolts that hold the toilet to the floor) will not loosen.

A:  I bought 3 of these 2 years ago and have only had to tighten one of them once

A:  Yes it stays very secure. The hardest part was actually removing the old seat. This new one only requires installing the two mounting posts and then snapping the seat in place. Easy to unsnap for cleaning unlike other seats. Also I now plan to order another for our second bathroom as this one has worked so well.

A:  No. With the "lift off" feature, it pops off the attachment bolts all the time. I've had it for a month and am planning to replace it.

A:  I don't know if they sell those parts separately but the whole seat is fairly inexpensive (if I remember correctly, less than $20) so not too bad to just replace whole thing. I just did that and it only takes 5 minutes.

A:  All seats fit all manufacturers toilets. 2 sizes- elongated and round. Check the box your toilet came in, it says which one right there
