A: Hi Peter! We recommend applying when rain is not predicted for 24 hours. A heavy rain could cause runoff or possible dilution. We would recommend watering in after application with 1/4-1/2 inch of water. The product does become rain proof once allowed to dry completely. Jessica
A: I can’t remember the weather when I applied it. Suggest reading the label. Can’t say it worked great either, but helped
A: If you are expecting heavy rain, I would hold off, but it does need to be watered in so that it can be absorbed through the root system. Too much rain could cause it to run off and "pool". I usually apply it, then use my irrigation system for 5-10 minutes to get the granules to wash down to the ground surface and be absorbed. Just my opinion. I'm not a professional.
A: this product can be used immediately after rain as the flakes will stick on grass blades , can also be used on sunny days as long as you water lawn and apply before lawn drys out for best results.
A: No, you should not use before a rainstorm. It should only be lightly watered when applied. The product is used due to the over-watering of your lawn, so you do not want to apply before a rainstorm. Works better when it is applied, watered, and sunny weather is expected.
A: don't know but if you have a lot of mushrooms you'll have to find answer on internet or from a book it's a little complicated if you just have a few your soil is good and you can remove with hand with gloves, rake or mow them up
A: fungus control probably will help sounds like you might be using too much water also also if it is within a circle your have a fairy ring which is a fungus use the liquid to spray and also put down granules good luck
A: I'm so sorry, as mushrooms are a naturally occurring part of the lawn, we unfortunately do not offer products that will kill them. -Madison
A: Thank you for asking! When using our fungus control for lawns visible results will depend on the severity of the fungus. For an existing fungus you will want to make repeat applications in 14 day intervals until the desired control is achieved. Squoria
A: The grass that has fungus will still show the fungal patches until it is mowed. The new grass should grow in without the fungus.
A: Yes it can. I’ve applied when this hot/humid with no affect on the grass.
A: Hi Julie! You would need temperatures to be under 85 degrees while applying and until the product has been watered in and allowed to dry to avoid possible turf burn. To keep pets safe you would want to keep them out of the area while applying and until watered in and allowed to dry completely. Once dry it is safe for pets to reenter the treated area. Jessica
A: I'm sure the Bioadvanced reps will emphasize the temperature, but I have put it on during a heat wave and done fine with it. It HAS to be watered in well to get into the soil to work. And that will also make it pretty much a non-factor with pets. I have a large St Bernard who is in the yard a lot....I always water the granules well (maybe a half inch or so) to ensure the granules are off the grass leaves, and she ignores it entirely. Here in Iowa we're in a hot, dry stretch like many other states and it's NOW that rust (my main problem) starts to appear, so I tend to let that tell me when to apply.
A: I'm sure the Bioadvanced rep will have a more definitive answer, but I would wait until two decent rains or irrigations, and a couple mowings. You'd want it in the soil before you apply other products. I've never had any issues over the years doing it this way.
A: Hello Eddie! You may apply a weed killer as soon as the granules have been watered in and allowed to dry completely. Jessica
A: Because of the sensitivity of this question as it relates to chemicals I would suggest you contact Bioadvanced customer service:1-877-229-3724.
A: We currently do not have a fungicide on our product line that is designed to eliminate mushrooms. Mushrooms are a natural part of any lawn usually caused by organic decaying materials beneath the soil. Jessica
A: This one isn't effective on mushrooms. If they're scattered within the lawn, I just mow and knock them down. If they're away from grass, I spray a vinegar/water mix on them and that will actually get rid of them. But I don't use it in the lawn because it will kill grass as well.
A: Yes, BioAdvanced Fungus Control For Lawns is formulated to be effective against Red Thread. If you have an active fungus, we recommend applying every 2 weeks until control is achieved. -Madison
A: It will treat this problem but I think you need to get to the root cause. I used 3 bags last summer it helped but did not cure the problem. Kate
A: I've had very good success with this product on red thread. If you don't have a large area of it...maybe just spots.....try the hose spray version of this same fungus control. It takes care of mine practically overnight.
A: Since itt looks like what you have now is an area of dead grass, it's hard to tell from the photo if it's fungus related or perhaps something from a spill or even an insect problem. This Bioadvanced product is a very good all-around control and could help. Is it currently still spreading? If so, you might consider the Bioadvanced liquid version of fungus control (easy to use...just attaches to your hose), and see if it works. But the first thing I'd do is take the photo to a garden center, ask for a lawn specialist, and get his/her opinion. That person may have some knowledge of a similar problem in your area. You might get a well-educated answer and avoid putting a product down unnecessarily.
A: Might be too late but I’d try it to clean the soil up with the fungicide.
A: BioAdvanced Fungus Control For Lawns is effective against all listed lawn diseases, such as Brown Patch or Dollar Spot. We recommend applying every 2 weeks until control is achieved, which depends on the severity of the disease. If you need assistance identifying a possible fungus issue in your lawn, please reach out to our Consumer Affairs team at 877-229-3724. We are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5PM CT, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5PM CT. -Madison
A: Because of the detailed question you have I would suggest that you contact customer service of Bioadvanced at 1.877.229.3724. I am unfamiliar with the orange-ish grass question but I do know the product does work with the brown spots (fungus).
A: BioAdvanced Fungus Control For Lawns only contains a fungicide, so it is safe to use on any turf type when applied according to label directions. The product will not be harmful to nearby ornamental plants. -Madison
A: Yes this product can be used on Zoysia grass. Yes you can use this around dogwood trees.
A: This product is formulated to cure fungus in lawns not shrubs. There are other liquid spray-on products specifically for shrubs.
A: Well there is one answer with two results : Sometimes - sometimes it will kill the disease AND sometimes it severely weakens the bush.
A: Hello Clifton! The Fungus Control for Lawns is designed to kill listed lawn fungus. For fungus on boxwood shrubs I would recommend applying our 3 in 1 Insect, Disease, & Mite Control spray. Jessica
