        Q:I am building a deck and need posts that will not bend or twist. We plan to cover the posts with a composite sleeve and cap. Will these posts work if we seal open ends and protect them from direct weather exposure?

          A:  Versa-Lam columns are used for interior applications for structural support. They do not have any weather resistant treatment applied to them. If used in an exterior application, this would void any warranty of the product.
