A:  You could put a pvc/composite sleeve over this Versa-Lam lumber for appearances but you would have to check with your local building authority and/or an architect to determine if that size Versa-Lam has the capacity to support the porch roof.

A:  You can use versa column as a header. Just make sure you use 1.8E. 2750. SP. for product selection

A:  If you are in a pinch and if you ran the grain vertically I don't see why not... but bc has a specific product for spans. I would just just use the correct product if you have time to source.

A:  this is not made for exterior use.

A:  No this is an indoor only product. and why would you use a $40 post what a std $13 pt pole is fine?

A:  No. This is strictly an interior product not to be exposed to the weather.

A:  Indoor only.

A:  This product is for use in the home.

A:  It has a waxy coating that would be hard to paint. you could easily wrap it in another wood and paint though.

A:  You can’t paint wax and this product is covered with a wax coating.
