A: That's how it looks. Unless you want it for a commercial kitchen, I wouldn't use at home. Very large and industrial looking mat. But it does work. I used mine at my office mail table.

A: I personally wouldn't put it in a kitchen. This is clearly a shop or utility mat, much too thick for a kitchen

Q:This looks to be the same as playground safety mats (Public Safety Floor Mats - also known as Rubber Grassmats®), so I was wondering if it complied with ASTM F1292 Impact Attenuation of Playground Surfacing Materials as those do?

Answer This Question
A: The tags on mine did not indicate compliance with this specification. Since there are holes, and kids move fast with little feet, I don't think that it would pass from a trip / fall point of view. The closed variety would serve better for a dynamic walking surface.

A: The edges tend to roll up and cause a trip hazard. I purchased some from another manufacturer and they do not roll .

A: I bought 2 for carport and they are great non slip safety mats.
by|May 4, 2023
A: I'd say they are night and day on a dusty concrete floor. I have one on the floor in my woodshop and it feels pretty secure. At work these are on oily and wet polished concrete and they are practically a requirement to prevent injury due to slips and falls.
