A: Alisa : It only has a heat preservation effect, not a freezing effect, so after the ice cubes are made, they should be taken out in time and put in the refrigerator to freeze, otherwise they will melt.

Q:Why does this commercial unit have only 3 months (sounds cheap & NOT commercial) of warranty?

Answer This Question
A: The unit has a "minimum of 3 month warranty" as per the Home Depot website, but the manufacturer on its webpage clearly states that the unit comes with a 1 year warranty. Take a look at "Costway.com".

A: No telling why warranty is short, but I’ve had it for about a year now and it works like a champ. Can make up to 110lbs per day and it drops ice every 30 mins.
