A: Good question, there is no indication of the amount of screws on the 5 lb box. However. the 1 lb box says it has roughly 73 screws, So 73 x 5 = 365. Best guess.

Answer This Question
A: I'm not sure what the updated 2018 IRC Code is for deck hardware but I'm sure that from a performance standpoint the polymer coating on the Deckmate screw will outperform any hot dip galvanized fastener for corrosion performance especially on ACQ decking.

A: This is not a hot dipped galvanized screw, the packaging simply states they are star drive coated screws. The box also says the proprietary coating prohibits rust and streaking.

A: Yes, you can use this item to attached the plywood to the rafters. You cannot use the screws for any load-bearing applications like holding the rafters or joist hangers together. We also recommend using stainless steel screws anytime there is salt spray and increased moisture levels.

A: I would buy a 25lbs of screws for sure, it will save you a good amount of money. I would say a 5lbs. Box has between 250-300 screws.
by|Aug 20, 2019
A: They claim 300+ in a box, but I've never taken the time to count them. I'd estimate you'll need at least 4 5-pound boxes for your project.
