    Q:I have a new manufactured house where the dryer vent was installed outdoors below final grade and will end up being covered by dirt. I need a box to encase it, allow air to freely exit, and protect it from dirt. Can this Everbilt box be used here?

      Q:Can the 3/4" knockout be used for a cold-water feed (for steam function) to an electric dryer? A previous question stated its available for the gas line...

      A:  Hello and thank you for your question. The 3/4 in. Knock out is for a gas line only as the hole (punch out) area maybe sharp and could cause a water line to be potential cut.

                Q:Why does thiis have to be installed before sheetrock? i wan to add this to my laundry room and the hole i will be cuttig out of the wall will give me enough room to play with the outside vent duct work. why cant i mount over sheetrock?

                A:  Hello and thank you for your question regarding our Metal Recessed Dryer Vent Box. This product was designed to be attached to wall studs using the predrilled holes on each side. This will provide stability when the sheet rock is put around it.
