A: The Anti-Sag Gate kit does come with instructions.

A: Yes it does. You may have to use different hardware or make modifications to your gate to make it fit, depending on your application.

Q:I have two large 6' tall gates that are each 5' wide, they open together to make a wide entrance. They are both starting to sag. What can I put on them to stop them from sagging. I can't use the bracket in the kit you sell at the top corners because of the hinge being in the way. Can you suggest another way to keep them from sagging?
Thanks,
Linda M.

A: Hi Linda M.,
It's a little hard to make a suggestion without seeing the placement of the troublesome hinge. There is an alternative gate kit sized to fit your gate which I'll link to below. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

A: Use a matching piece of gate material from corner to corner (the same as the wire) and screw it in, it will do the same exact thing and look better, you just can't get adjust the tension after, so "overcorrect" the sag a little bit, and it will sink down to level.

A: We used these with the gate hardware kits. They don't go affect the hinge (or didn't in my case and my gate opens IN toward me in the picture). Check out my picture and see it that helps & answers your question about using this kit. This is a gate we had to completely rebuild due to sagging and put the kit on with the gate hardware right when we completed it (the gate build was inferior so it could not be saved with just the anti-sag kit in this case). Get the anti-sag kit on right away because we found the more your gate sags, it may also torque or twist so even those the anti-sag kit will pull the gate back to level which is what you need, it might not fix the twisting or torquing. The one gate I didn't have this one when we built it sagged and torqued some and I had to add a stop at the front bottom of my gate after the anti-sag kit to completely fix the torquing even though the gate was no longer sagging. I'd take a picture of it but it's raining too much! ;)

A: Although I don't know how your gate is configured, you might want to view what I did to fit it to my gate. I had to make some cuts in the wood and reinforced it with additional wood screws. I hope it helps and gives you some ideas of your own.

A: I and others used a screw through the hinge on the top left instead of the bracket and
attached the cable to that. However, I think you might need a longer cable than this
kit provides. The cable is 7 ft.
