A:  This product color has been discontinued. But the ArmorGuard Collection currently offers Square Edge decking boards in 8 and 20' lengths.

A:  No, the durable cap stock (outer layer) does differ in color from the core material. Please note Nantucket Gray has been discontinued.

A:  22 boards will cover approximately 83 square feet. The exact quantity of boards may vary as it is largely dependent upon your deck design.

A:  Thank you for inquiring of alternative uses. The decking boards are designed for a 3/16" gap between boards (side to side). This ensures proper drainage, ventilation and the conditions for peak product performance.

A:  This product is discontinued. However, our composite decking boards are installed on deck framing with composite decking screws and/or hidden fasteners. Our fasteners and installation instructions can be found at www.fiberondecking.com.

A:  Don't use nails! Use either the concealed fastener system (kind of expensive) or the color-matched stainless steel "Deck-Mate" special decking screws (less expensive). They will require pre-drilling if installing close to the edges.

A:  Deck structures are commonly built out of pressure treated lumber. Some elect to upgrade to marine grade lumber but standard pressure treated lumber is most common. We currently do not manufacture any composite or PVC structural members.

A:  We recommend the use of our PVC decking boards (Paramount and Promenade) for use around pool areas. Our Paramount decking collection has the highest slip resistance when dry and wet.

A:  We have this product installed on a deck tucked under the coping of an above-ground pool, and have not found it to be a problem being too slippery. We also have it installed on a stair leading from the pool deck upward to a higher deck attached to the house. We installed a 2" wide self-adhesive abrasive tape to the top edge of each tread to provide a non-slip edge on the stairs as a precaution (it also helps as a visual aid to highlight the edge of each tread).
