A: The Light has to be removed from the mounted location. Press in the bottom tab and pull back the cover. Insert 8 AA batteries and then replace the cover.
A: I purchased four of these lights. Never worked properly. They would not stay on. Changed batteries several times and nothing worked. The batteries are encased on the back of the lamps.
A: Remove the unit from the wall/ceiling and open the battery compartment on the back.
A: Hello Valued Customer, thank you for reaching out to us with your question. When replacing the batteries on our GE 18in LED Utility Light, simply press in the bottom tab and pull back the cover. Insert 8 AA batteries noting polarity and then replace the cover. With LED lights being such an energy efficient product, products such as this light bar need a brand new, fresh set of batteries, with all batteries in the light being the same brand. Avoid mixing old with new batteries, for this could potentially drain your new batteries quicker. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to respond or give us a call between the hours of 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM Central Standard Time, Monday thru Friday at 1-800-654-8483. Thank you.
A: The batteries are accessed from the back. It needs to be removed from whatever it's mounted to to access the door. If it was taped up (with double sided tape), then gently peel it off the surface. Hopefully the tape does not cover the battery door. If it was attached with screws, slide the fixture towards the end that does NOT have the touch sensor, about 1/4 inch. This should release the screw heads from their slots and remove it. Remove the battery door and batteries. There are 8 of them, so be sure to remove all of them. The correct orientation of the batteries is shown in the slots the batteries are installed into.
A: Light has to be removed. Tab to open battery compartment on bottom of fixture against cabinet. If light is attached with enclosed velco strips light should just pull away from surface. If screwed into wood, shift light to left or right to detach from cabinet.
A: I wouldn’t advise that. And actually, the batteries don’t last long enough to make me ever purchase it again.

A: No, not watertight at all.
A: I wouldn't suggest outside use in an area where they could get wet. They don't seem to be waterproof at all.
A: I don't think this would be a good choice for this light.

A: not long- an hour or two at most
A: I didn't turn mine off overnight, and had to replace the batteries.
A: The batteries don’t last long enough . I wouldn’t buy it again.

A: There should be removable paper on both sides.
A: There are two sides and they Velcro together on to cabinet. I would not recommend these lights. They have fallen in the middle of the night and scared us. Also, they go through batteries like crazy. Maybe last 2 hours.
A: Hi Abb, thank you for your question. The double-sided tape will have two paper films on sides. Once you have stick the sticky side to the surface to the fixture, you can peel the other paper film off to mount the fixture. If you have any further questions regarding the product, please don't hesitate to respond or contact our Customer Support through phone or email. Thank you, Jasco Products Tech Support.
A: Did not use tape to mount the light strip to my ceiling so cannot answer your question - was highly skeptical of consumer grade double stick tape adequately holding the device from a durability and reliability perspective. Secured the light strip to the sheetrock sloped ceiling with two of my own screws and plastic mollies, not supplied with the light.
A: I tried to use the supplied tape under a cabinet. It fell loose onto the counter after a few week. I switched to a 3M tape product that worked.
A: I did not use the double sided tape that came with the light. I used the 3M command velcro strips. That way I can remove it, change the batteries & put it back up without having to replace the tape. Hope this helps.

A: Yes, I had to return a few of mine. I was having the same issue.
A: I loved mine at first...but after replacing all those batteries it requires twice within only weeks...I find it ridiculous.
A: I experienced a similar issue, returned the unit for a replacement and have had no problem since. However, these lights are very battery sensitive, so you might consider placing fresh new batteries first and then see if the problem resolves.
A: Yes
A: HI FP1948, thank you for reaching out to us with your question. No, the light is touch activated and should only turn off when you touch the metal contacts at the end of the light bar. A: No that is not normal. Mine stays on until I turn it off. You should return or exchange them.
A: We’ve had ours for almost a year and haven’t experienced this issue. You may have a few that are defective.
A: I bought one of these a week ago. All of a sudden the light only stays on a while... I replaced the batteries with all brand-new Duracell and it only stays on maybe an hour... Sigh...
A: I bought several of these and was pleased .. for 1 month. Now, all the lights turn themselves off within 1-2 minutes. I have removed all the fixtures and will return them today. Not pleased....
A: I have installed 4 of these units and sp far they work great. Mine have not cut out.. I used energizer lithium batteries. One thing I have noticed is that if your finger is dry you may have to lick it to turn unit off and on.
A: I have five of these and have not had this happen. My experience is that I need to avoid using really dry fingers to activate the switch.
A: No, these lights are not designed with an automatic off feature.

A: I don't think they are supposed to shut off automatically. It's possible the light has regulated circuitry which will shut down when the batteries get low. Try changing batteries. I use Eneloop rechargeables in mine. Saves money over the long run.
A: Mine stay on until I turn them off.
A: I haven't had this problem, but I don't keep them on for extended periods of time.
A: It uses AA batteries and you better buy lots of them if you are going to use this light on an everyday basis.
A: It takes 6 double A batteries.
A: just a couple triple A batteries and mine have been going strong for two years. Great Light.
A: Double A
A: AA
A: This uses AA batteries.
