A:  batteries are dying.. these fixtures go through batteries quickly

A:  This is a faulty product, being it back to Home Depot or wherever you purchased it and get a refund, DO NOT EXCHANGE FOR ANOTHER LIGHT - THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM WILL RESURFACE!

This particular fixture utilizes touch activated “On/Off” operation, to turn off simply touch the metal contacts at the end of the light bar. That said, it should not turn off by itself. A:  I would assume that the batteries should be replaced.

A:  It is not possible to change the duration of how long the lights stay on. The remote control model however allows for the lights to stay on.

A:  It's like anything that uses batteries. If the battery is faulty it can leak/explode/or cause damage to your product.

A:  This is just a standard warning about all batteries in general. This light is no more likely to leak/explode/cause damage than any other electronic device or flashlight.

A:  This product doesn't come with a remote control.

A:  Hello rk, Great question and Thank you for your interest in our Battery Operated Fixture! Item 17446 does not come with a remote, it uses touch activated “On/Off” technology. However, item 17448 is designed so that the fixtures are all on the same radio frequency (RF) channel. Which means, if you purchase multiple 17448 lights, they should all work together right out of the box, and you should have 1 remote control capability. A:  Yes. It runs on batteries, so there is no danger in a bathroom.

A:  I believe this unit would be suitable for use in the bathroom. The switch is the two contacts shown in the photo at the bottom of the unit. The unit appears to be sealed satisfactorily so that moisture should not be an issue. Even splashing should not be an issue, but not suitable for immersion.

A:  You mean an external switch? No.

A:  No. It only runs on batteries.

A:  This item is not hardwired.

A:  No because it's battery operated

You would have to look at our plug-in (10495) or really direct wired fixtures like 10780 or 26739 for that type of solution. With the previously mentioned, yes, you could have multiple lights linked together on one (1) switch. Many of our plug-ins can be converted to direct wired fixture by using our junction box item 32612. Note: Since these fixtures utilize LED technology, there are no bulbs to replace - ever. A:  No it is not.

A:  No. This model is only on or off.

A:  Don't laugh, but when it's got new batteries in it, I found it too bright so I covered each light with BLUE PAINTERS TAPE and as it got weaker - removed them until it was time to replace & repeat! I love them, but don't count on them lasting more than 2 - 2 1/2 yrs cuz the touch sensor dies when all the rest of it works fine.

A:  I am having the same problem with one of my lights! I don't know what the issue can be

Our first question is; are they being used in an environment where there is an extremely high humidity present. If this is not the case, then it would be helpful to get one or all of the samples mailed to us the for evaluation/testing. Please give our Tech Support a call and we can get that scheduled.
