A:  With assistance and if empty, you should have no problem. Tie it down. But that also depends on the size/weight/shape, stay within weight specs.

A:  If the furniture weighs less than 300 pounds and will adequately fit on the hand truck in the vertical position, the hand truck will perform well. There are hand trucks with stair crawlers that will work much better and more securely going down stairs. (Stair crawlers glide down stairs versus a hard landing or bump on each stair)
