        Q:Are these shorter blades on the HDC Arleigh 44in fan able to be installed on the HDC Britton 52in fan? The blades appear to the be same angle and mounting style. Trying to get the Britton in 44in size for 2 of our smaller rooms to match our 52in Brittons.

        A:  No, these fan blades are custom made for the Arleigh. The Arleigh and Britton are made by two different manufacturers for the HDC brand, meaning their specifications and design were developed independently.

            A:  Installing this fan on a ceiling with any amount of slope is not recommended. Even a small tilt can cause balance and noise issues as well as wear on the fan motor's bearings.

              A:  This fan model does not have a cap to cover the opening underneath. It must be installed with the included light kit assembly.

                A:  This ceiling fan does not include a remote. It is controlled with two pull chains. However, you can search for universal ceiling fan remotes on The Home Depot to purchase separately. This model is compatible with universal controls that have 3 fan speeds.

                    A:  Yes, when wiring the fan the black wire (for fan) will go to one hot wire/switch and the blue wire (for light) will go to the other hot wire/switch.
