It can protect surfaces from water, dirt, dust, paint overspray, etc. This film is not recommended for the application in which you have suggested due to the 2 mil being on the thinner side as far as plastic sheeting goes. It can protect surfaces from water, dirt, dust, paint overspray, etc. This film is not recommended for the application in which you have suggested due to the 2 mil being on the thinner side as far as plastic sheeting goes. The higher the mil, the thicker the plastic. Please consult with your local Home Depot store for further assistance.

                  A:  I don't think it would be a good idea because of of the mold that may grow on plastic if exposed to moisture.
