The AC or DC icon on the LCD indicates which mode is selected. The meter defaults to AC measurement. Press the "SEL" button to toggle between AC and DC modes.

The multimeter was tested to an altitude of 6,562 feet. It will work at higher altitudes but has only been tested to 6562 ft.
