A:  The Kwikset 985 double cylinder deadbolt can be installed on any door or gate as long as it meets the dimension requirements. Thickness of door needs to be anywhere from 1 3/8" - 1 3/4" to be able to fit on the door. A:  Yes, this deadbolt can be installed in place of the deadbolt included with the Montara handleset.

A:  This deadbolt comes with the SmartKey re-key allows you to re-key your lock in seconds but is not compatible with other brands.

A:  Model # 98515SMTCPK4V1 comes keyed alike in sets of four. These are typically merchandised together on the shelf and have a highlighted keyed-like number at the bottom of the box. If you would like, you can re-key the deadbolt to another compatible key cut that you already have. A:  The SmartKey cylinder comes with 5 pins for the exterior side and 5 pins in the interior side cylinder.

A:  This deadbolt fits doors that are 1-3/8" – 2-1/4" thick. Call us to order a service kit for 2 1/4" thick door.
