Q:could I trim 6" off these off top,or bottom or some top and some bottom and the still install properly?

A: There is not enough to trim to equal 6 inches. The top nailing flange will allow 1/8" to trim off. The bottom will allow 3/4" to trim off, and each side will allow 1/2" to be trimmed off.

A: Yes, you are able to remove both glass inserts and the screen insert after installation. Please note you'll need to take into account if your prime window has a mullion bar that you'll need to work around to remove those inserts.

A: Yes, it is possible. You will need to remove the bottom glass insert to install the ac unit and have the top glass insert rest onto of your ac unit since the top glass insert rests on the bottom glass insert and you'll have to remove that to install the unit.
