A:  All you do to turn it off is push the button down on the top where the little light flashes until it stops the motor and then take your finger off of the button. The light never goes entirely off; it flashes on every few seconds and goes off again. This shows that the ice machine is plugged in and ready to make ice when needed. To turn the ice machine to make ice just push to button (same as before) and you will here the motor start up and the machine will begin making the ice. Just read the instructions that came with the machine when you purchased or if you need to you might get info if you Google the product name.
