Q:If this is NOT for cutting Hardie board, then why is it listed with the recommended items when purchasing Hardie Board on the Home Depot website? I think this explains the other questions asking if it can cut Hardie board.

A: There is another tool that resembles this tool that will cut hardie - this tool is for sheet metal. Look at this product:

You will see a difference in the size of the actual sheer blades/ nibblers.... Hope this helps
