A: It can cut through some cabinets with the factory bits. But I would recommend getting better wood bits or a multi-tool. I use both of these as an electrician monthly if not weekly.

A: With the proper bit, and a bit o patience, it will. You can not go as fast as you would in drywall, but it is faster then cutting tile.

Q:will this easily cut out a window into a piece of 4"x4" White PVC fence post?

Answer This Question
A: It might, but probably won’t work the best. It’s made for cutting through drywall along a guided edge. It would be very hard to control free hand.
I would suggest drilling a hole in the corners for the “window” and using a jig saw, reciprocating saw, small hand saw, or an oscillating tool.
Best.

A: yes, with the right blade.
by|Mar 25, 2020
A: If you go slow, it will probably work fine. That is if it does not melt the pvc. My opinion would be a oscillating tool would be a better choice. Easier to control.

Q:Will router bits fit in this? I was thinking about using this to trim laminate for countertops.

A: bits must have a 1/8th or 1/4 inch shank, nothing larger
by|Feb 25, 2019
A: No. The blade is small, it would likely shear off if used that way. It’s really meant for drywall only.

A: 1/4 inch router bits work with this unit
by|Jan 23, 2020
A: No. The collet is small, more for drill bit size.
I would not suggest it for laminate.
Find a small router, makita and Bosch are great, but the cheaper ryobi works fine for trimming as well.
by|Jun 3, 2021
A: Yes, it will accept 1/4" shank router bits.

A: yes, I have used it on FRP. Works great, just have to go slow.
by|Feb 21, 2019
A: Yes, it will work fine. Do protect yourself with goggles, face shield, a good dust mask, gloves and coveralls, as the fiberglass ‘dust’ is hazardous and quite irritating.

Q:Does this require a certain amp/hour rating battery. I have two of the small M18 batteries. I think they are 2.0 amp hour rated ones.

A: No any m18 Batteries will work
by|Feb 5, 2019
A: I have used a 3 amp hour battery and a 5 amp hour battery both work great.
I would think any amp hour m18 volt battery would work
by|Feb 7, 2019
A: They will work fine. If you are doing a ton of work, you would probably want a larger battery. Do not push to cut too fast, let the tool do the work. The only issue we have with ours is breaking the cutter blades. Not a fault of the tool. I think we just haven't found the right bit .
by|Feb 6, 2019
A: Yes those smaller batteries will work, however the number of quoted cuts/run time will not be as high in compared to the larger 5.0 batteries.
The small battery will drive it and make it perform as the should.
by|Feb 6, 2019
A: Those will work fine, just not last as long.
by|Mar 13, 2019
A: Its takes all the M18 batteries. Ive had the smaller 2.0 all the way up to a 9.0 amp battery on it.
by|Feb 6, 2019
A: We have had good success using this with all of our different Ah batteries, run time will be shorter with the lower Ah ones but still adequate and the tool is actually easier to use with the smaller batteries

Q:Is there anyone who makes a 5/32” collet that will fit this tool? I saw a lot of 5/32” cutting bits at the store, but it this tool seems to be strictly 1/8 or 1/4.

Q:Does the Bosch Rotozip adjustable circular cutter/guide work with this tool? If not, is there an adjustable circular cutter/guide that works with this? For instance, I cut a lot of ceiling speakers and use a Rotozip now, I'd love to switch to this and add it to my Milwaukee set of tools.

A: The tool has enough power, but the bits are made more for cutting trough drywall with a guide (like an outlet box). Free hand would be hard to control.

A: It's strong enough if you can find a wood bit to do the job. It's mostly made for depth adjustable sheetrock cutouts.
