Q:Can you use carbide burrs with this tool? I need a die grinder like totary tool but a little less powerful and smaller. I hope to use the burrs on various metal projects too such as grinding out holes and deburring fresh cut metal edges. Maye even use a 3” cutting wheel on sheet metal.

A: As long as they have a 1/8 or 1/4 shank, yes. The tile bits are basically burrs.

A: Based on a June 7, 2019 review, the 4-1/2" guard product number is 43-54-1200.... So frustrating that I have to look at tool reviews to find a part number for a safety accessory. Cheers

A: Hello Tyson,
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot.
It doesn't look like we sell the Braking Grinder guards separately. I would advise searching the Milwaukee website to see if they can provide a model number for that part, then you can search that model number on our website to see if we carry it. I hope this helps.
We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Have a nice day.

Q:will this work on plywood?

Answer This Question
A: With the correct bit, I would imagine so.. I've used it on metal and plastic so far.
by|May 8, 2020
A: Not really, the blades would likely just break. It’s really meant for drywall only.
by|May 8, 2020
A: Yes but you need to use a wood bit
by|May 4, 2020
A: It would depend on how think the plywood is, and the bit you are using. If you are cutting around plastic electrical boxes, you stand a boot chance of chewing up the box.
You may want to consider using a multi-tool instead.

A: No. It’s for drywall

A: I use the 6.0ah High Output battery with this grinder and it lasts quite awhile. For my projects I tend to grind for 15 minutes or less at a time and it has not run out of juice.

A: The intention is to use a 6 ah high output battery. I would expect that it will work OK for small jobs less than 20 minutes.

A: Hi Dale! You can use any M18 battery on any M18 product. However, you will typically get a longer run time with a larger battery.

A: designed for cutting in boxes into sheetrock
by|Dec 17, 2019
A: In my opinion, it doesn’t have the power to do that, also I think it would snap bits off from trying to pull it through that material. Good tool, not for that application though.

A: This tool would not work well for wood. Look at the oscillating tool.

A: Yes it will.
by|Dec 30, 2022
A: It is not really designed to cut wood. With the proper bit, you could do it, but it would be slow, and hard on the tool. You would be better off using a jigsaw.
