Our platforms do not come pre-drilled and the staircase is designed to be either right or left hand up (the location of the handrail as you ascend the staircase). A:  Thanks for your question, Richard. Each tread has 30 degrees of rotation, as per code requirements. A 12 tread stair case will have 360 degrees of rotation. You can simply add or subtract 30 degrees to find your final rotation but we recommend a EP60B14B002 for the floor to floor height referenced in your question. Ideally you'd want to mount the stair over a joist but if that's not possible, you'll want to add blocking between the joists to distribute the load. We'd recommend contacting a local builder for further advice if necessary since they will be more knowledgeable about your local environment and be able to offer specific advice.
