A:  Yes this Additional Layer kit is actually for our Ledgestone Firepit Kits. BUT people will also purchase this additional layer to use as a Tree Ring, to build a garden around the base of a tree trunk. Also you can use it around the base of your mail box post or light post to make a small circle garden at the base.

A:  I just went out to my patio to measure. The top ring measures 46.5" diameter on mine. The top ring has a 2" overhang from the outside of the stack, so the stack diameter is about 42.5". I purchased an additional (4th) row to make it taller (mine is 17.5" tall with that extra row), concrete stained it to complement my patio color, and use it as a propane fire-pit with colored glass fill.

A:  I just bought one from Grossman's Bargain Outlet. They wouldn't deliver, but they were super helpful in helping me load it into my car. Managed to get it home safely in one trip in my Subaru outback!

A:  My fire pit measures 46 inches, outside to outside, and about 33 inches inside to inside. So a round screen with a diameter greater than 33 inches will rest on the top layer of stones without falling in.

A:  You would need a 32 inch screen (the inside diameter of the fire pit is 31 11/16 so I would suggest somewhere between 32" and 40"
