Q:What does "self-leveling" mean? How can it do this if it is already nailed in? What is its length and amount of weight it can hold? An 8x10 frame?

A: Hi, and thank you for your question. The sawtooth product is design to level pictures even if the piece is mounted a little off level, the nail only levels on 1 point of the sawtooth. The sawtooth should be able to hold a 8X10 framed artwork and it should hold at least 10lbs. The sawtooth is 1.5 inches.

A: Not sure what self-leveling means, other than level it ‘yourself’. There’s nothing fancy about this. It comes with nails. I counter-sunk the hanger to allow the picture frame to rest flush against the wall. It will hold most any weight, but if that’s a big concern (100 pounds), there’s other hangers that will do the trick.

A: You nail the device on to your frame and adjust as you see fit when it goes on the wall. Use a level to get it straightened on the wall

A: It actually does not say on the package how much weight it would support , which I find strange, but I would say up to 8 lbs considering the nails are tiny, but it’s just a guess.

A: Not sure, but I would guess one hanger would hold up to 8lb smaybe10, I had to use 2 for balance on a 40 inch wide picture. only about 8 lbs though.

A: the nail is 3/8" long you might try loctite super glue gel, its the best super glue i have used because of two reasons:
1. it works
2. unlike most super glues, you have to dispense it by squeezing the sides and as you squeeze it the glue comes out steadily. when you squeeze the sides, the tube keeps it's shape, doesn't collapse in and because it has a good top to seal it, it always is ready to go, never dries out. you'll know what i mean when you use it.
