A:  Either stain or paint. Will not last if you don't treat it in some way.

A:  Use a sander and finish the wood with a varnish or wood protectant.

A:  We had to sand it off with an electric sander and the used a dark stain to cover.

A:  No package. Comes assembled

A:  We ended up taking the box off at the store & stacking it in our Jeep. I can fit 5 in my Jeep with all doors closed!

A:  I weight 250+ and there were 5 of us at the table the other folks were in the 200 # range. The table handled it well.
