A:  Much, much cooler than halogen. They do dim, but not as much as old incandescents.

A:  Yes, the Philips LED flood bulbs are compatible with standard dimmers. All 8 of my LED flood lights worked fine with my existing dimmer.

A:  Yes, compatible with dimmers. They don't mimic incandescents exactly, if you have both types on one dimmer the brightness may vary between the two types

A:  I use these bulbs with my 17 year old original room light dimmers with no issues what so ever. My experience is that you do not need to change your dimmers.

A:  There are so many dimmers over the past 25 years, there's no clear answer. But it worked with my 15 year old dimmer. New dimmers are $25+, such as Lutron.

A:  Yes, they work well on dimmers. They don't go all the way to off, but they dim significantly without any color temperature fluctuation or strobing. You might want to make sure your fixture is the right size to accommodate the BR30 bulbs.
