A: Look at the side of the nailer. There is a spare mounted on the right side. Beyond that, return it to HD. You could call porter cable but I Don't know what they will do for you.

Q:Will this hold studs/shoe plates tight? I use a bigger nailer but if i could use this all day my arm would probably feel better next day.

Answer This Question
A: No, the fasteners are too small to secure studs.
by|Feb 26, 2022
A: No. For any framing (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, etc) material you need to use a pneumatic framing nailer that shoots round headed nails long and heavy enough to do the job. The 18g nailer you are looking at is a trim nailer that uses much smaller headless brads which is not suitable for your needs.
by|Feb 24, 2022
A: No, this is for small trim work only. Even baseboard requires a larger nail.
by|Feb 24, 2022
A: Not the right tool for studs. This is for brads and finish nails. Finish nails at 2"" still wont do the trick
by|Feb 25, 2022
A: This is to small for that job. It is great for trim work.

Q:Is this two different/seperate nailers (brad and finish) included?

Answer This Question
A: This is not a nail gun per se, it will shoot up to 18 gauge brads at various lengths. Adjustable pressure so you can countersink perfectly. Don’t need to finish nails this does the job! Requires compressor.

A: Same machine (nailer) , different nails. Brad nails are usually shorter-about an inch or so. Finish nails can be 2” or more like what you’d need to build cabinets or attach baseboards to a wall with sheet rock but don’t want a large mail hole.

A: I think so. You can adjust the amount of pressure the "nails" are fired.
by|Jan 2, 2022
A: It is. The noise is thin, and the gun body's thin profile is lightweight. Would recommend for hobbiests. Be sure to test out the PSI on a scrap piece first, as 70-90 PSI would probably be sufficient on soft wood.

Q:This nailer did not come with oil. Does that mean it requires no oil? I can't find any oiling directions in the manuel. I always put a few drops in the air intake on all my other air tools before use.
