Answer This Question
A: Yes this is safe for septic systems I have a septic tank and a leach field and I use 1/2 gallon every month. Poor a 1/2 gallon right into your salt brine. You may need a little more for hard water. This works well.

A: The Res Care product of which I use & am happy with it's results is from a company called Pro Products.
It's use is specifically for keeping you water softener resin tank free & clear of clogging up with minerals, etc., which in time degrades effectiveness. Not familiar with Res Up, maybe a different product altogether, from a different company for a different use, or could be the same product under a different name. Just to be safe, I'd stick with Res Care if that is the product that your after.
