Q:Can it cut round shape? Cirlce

Answer This Question
A: I guess you could sip off corners until you achieved a somewhat round shape. I did not try that. I used it to snap subway mosaics to a shorter size with a straight edge. I could not always get the cut I wanted. Sometimes the tiles snapped straight and sometimes at an angle. It would take a lot of skill to do what you want. I can't imagine a better tool to try to do the task, though.

A: I would not feel comfortable trying it at all

A: I don't think you'd get the precision you want. It would snap the tile but probably not exactly into a 90 degree square. You could get lucky, though.

Answer This Question
A: No. I do not think it will cut 3/8 inch porcelain tile. I used it for ceramic tile that was probably less than 1/4 inch thick and it worked well. I think you'd need tremendous hand strength to possibly snap yours.

A: Good day,
Tile nippers would certainly assist you with smaller cuts for ceramic and porcelain tile, especially for making irregular cuts. The QEP 32035Q compound tile nippers are a great choice and offer 3 times more force with less effort and works on most types of tile.
Thank you for choosing QEP.
