A:  Yes, all you need to do is add the battery.

A:  It comes with a power source that has the round plug on the side, and the light mat DOES require that round plug. However, as for the USB port this new power source is a step down because is only outputs 1.0 am to the USB port and my old ones that look like your photo are marked as 2.1 amps for USB.

A:  This comes with an adapter for the 18 volt batteries.

A:  Hi MagicHands0419 This is the same power source currently being sold as a bare tool. It has 1 USB port and a small round plug in port for the power supply to the mat. Thanks for asking. Greg

A:  The power sources are not marked Gen1, Gen2, etc, but I have two of the RIDGID USB Power Sources (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-USB-Portable-Power-Source-with-Activate-Button-AC86072B/206936434 ... the packages had model # AC86072B on them but they are marked R86072) without the round side jack and they each have a single USB port that will output 2.1 amps. This new light comes with a different model number power source (marked as R86073B) and it has the side jack as well as a single USB port that is rated at 1.0 amp. I know there was a prior model that I think was designed to power a heated coat and it sounds similar to this new model that comes with this light, but I'm not certain they are they same and I don't have that one so I don't know what model # it was. Hopefully this helps you.

A:  Yes. You can even see it in the picture if you'd look at it. While hanging the batter and GEN2 clip onto the light mat. Just look at the picture(s).

A:  Yes, you can hang the batter and power source/adapter from the mat light. You can't see it from the photo, but underneath the battery adapter is a loop that you can hang the adapter and battery from. There is a clip on the back of the adapter. Hope that helps!

A:  No. But I suspect something could be easily rigged up.....such as a self adhesive hook or a zip tie that would suffice.

A:  Yes, there is a clip on the part that attaches to the battery and a loop to attach the battery on the mat for hanging.
