A:  In both cases it is clearly written on the box, 0.22 or 0.27.  0.22 Is normally loose charges in the box while the 0.27 are in strips that you load in your Ramset.

Q:I have tried using .22 Caliber Yellow single loads in a Mastershot and get barely 1/2 penetration into my concrete floor. Would Red loads be enough additional power to drive these in all the way? I would also need to upgrade to a .27 Caliber gun, which is a good deal more expensive than a .22. Any thoughts?

A:  You have to press down really hard before you hit it with the hammer. Concrete is a pain to drive a nail into with a small hand held hammer fired gun. If you don't have hundreds of nails to drive a hammer drill and some good concrete screws will give you less headache.

A:  Hi Smitty, In this instance, a .27 caliber tool with either yellow or red .27 caliber powder loads may be your best option. This specific concrete may be too strong for .22 caliber fastening, and in this case we would recommend a Ramset Cobra+ with a .27 caliber load. Sometimes, the concrete's PSI increases over time and may cause for more a more difficult time fastening. It is also possible that there is some sort of aggregate or material within the concrete causing difficulty driving to proper depth. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call customer service at 877-489-2726. Thank you for using Ramset!

A:  if you plan to use the gun often then do spend the money, its easier to use and quieter, but for small project just use 2 bullets, with hard concrete these days sometime .27 needs to be used twice , espesially with longer nails, tip. hold its straight as possible
