A:  Must be wired into a breaker panel.

A:  No plug, this unit should be hard wired into your breaker box.

A:  While I would prefer actual words you can see the symbols which holds on the last one selected. Also the symbol lights up in the center metal decorative strip on the inside unit. The snowflake is cooling, the coil that looks like a stove top heating element is for heat.

A:  Start with one and see, but my gut says no, you will probably need two units.

A:  No, the 24000 BTU cover only 1100 .You will need to purchase 2 units

A:  I installed this myself and it really wasn't that difficult. Price for instillation would depend on how much work is required. I would guess that if it was just a standard install expect to spend around $500. I would call your local air people and ask them. They will be able to tell you if there will be any problems and give you an instillation quote.

A:  The warranty is void unless installed by a licensed contractor. I believe it is one year on everything and five years on the compressor. I would imagine $500-$600 for a typical installation. I did my own and the unit has been working flawlessly over the winter. If it works as well during the summer I will be more then satisfied. For me it was well worth buying. It is not only fast in operation (changing the temperature say ten degrees) but is extremely quiet in operation, and that is for the outside unit as well as the inside one. I've looked at other more expensive units and they are made in China as well. They all look like they came from the same factory and then just slapped on their name sticker.
