Q:I'm looking to apply dark walnut to a pressure treated pine fence. Some of the photos the stain has a red tint and others more brown. It would appear that the red comes out more on cedar and the pine is more brown? Can anyone with experience comment?

A: Ready Seals penetrating properties will always combine with the primary color of your wood. Cedar has more natural red, therefore it will always show a deeper, and richer red look than a pine (blonde, yellow, white). The final tone depends highly on the woods species, age, texture and condition.
