Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out, Jimmy. If your Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel remains tacky for over 12 hours then it will not fully cure. If this is the case the tacky finish can be cleaned using a rag dampened with mineral spirits and a plastic scrapper.

Q:Is this paint suitable for painting a Rubbermaid outdoor storage shed?
by|Sep 10, 2024

Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Faye! Rust-Oleum Professional High-Performance Protective Enamel Paint is suitable for use on metal and wood surfaces. This paint will not properly adhere directly to plastic surfaces. Please keep in mind, some plastic surfaces are manufactured in such a way that hinders paint adhesion. Whenever painting or priming plastic, a test application is recommended to ensure it is paintable.

by|Aug 30, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out, Jonny. Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel is a ready-to-use paint and we do not recommend adding any extra tint or colorant. This can hinder the curing and performance of the paint. If you want to create a custom color we recommend mixing 2 colors of our Professional Enamel.

Q:Is this a good choice to repaint the exterior of my travel trailer camper. It has an aluminum shell

Answer This Question
A: Great question! Rust-Oleum Professional High-Performance Enamel Paint can be applied to exterior surfaces. If the surface is galvanized, you will need to start with a water-based primer first to ensure full adhesion. We recommend Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Water-Based Primer. This primer can be topcoated with this paint after 1 hour.
