Q:Can I use this to reface an old oak kitchen cabinet to glue over existing cabinet face, staple and turn into shaker cabinet or would it be better to just plane the face mold down, bondo and add shaker panels?

      Answer This Question

A:  We have never seen our product used in this form as it has been used for cabinetry and furniture. I would reach out to your local HD to see what they would recommend.

A:  It’s just under 1/4” thick. There is barely enough material thickness to even be able to get a “lap” edge, and even if you were ok with <1/8” thick lap, I would expect that it would tear up pretty easily when machining it.

          Answer This Question

A:  Not knowing the application and where you are located, I would visit your local Home Depot store and look at the options available. Our Sandeply is a hardwood specie. I'm not sure if HD offers poplar plywood in a 5.2mm thickness. They do offer a Birch specie and it is a hardwood.
