Questions and Answers for Suntuf 26 in. x 12 ft. Corrugated Polycarbonate Roof Panel in Solar Gray

A:  Painting is not recommended. Chemicals in paint could harm the polycarbonate.

A:  Please visit www.palram.com/us and navigate to the Suntuf product page. There are color swatches for each available color and the corresponding light transmission. The only color that blocks heat is the solar control silver.

A:  4x12 panels can be special ordered. The panel has a wider coverage then the standard 2 ft panel but the installation is the same. The installation video for our son-of panels is available both on the product pages here and on our website. Www.palram.com on the Suntuf product page

A:  If the length of the pergola is 12', purchase 12'. If the length is 10', purchase 10'

A:  Without adequate pitch, there is no where for water to flow/run off the roof. Could cause leaking. A 100% silicone sealant should be used

A:  Cannot walk on it as it will bend or even break. 

A:  I wouldn’t try it.  I think it might break/crack.

A:  How do you plan on installing it if you don't walk on it? Once installed walk carefully and not often.

A:  Per the installation guide, panels should never be walked on directly. A board should be placed over three rafters and you can walk on the board.

A:  Yes, model 101930 and can be special ordered at any Home Depot

A:  Were the fastener holes predrilled prior to installation? Also check to ensure the fasteners are not too tight. The washer should not be compressed and the panels should not be dimpled around the fastener.

A:  14' is not offered, however, you can special order a 16'x49.6" at any Home Depot store

A:  It can, however, you will still need to use horizontal closure strips when installing
