A: Julia,
Thank you for your interest in the 6" x 8" carpeting Safari. To maintain warranties Safari must be installed using the full spread glue down method over concrete or plywood. When installed in the loose lay method the product can contract and expand, which can break down the product prematurely. It can be used as a loose lay but no warranties are extended. Thank you again for your question.

A: Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your interest in the carpeting Safari, color Ivy. This product is intended to be installed using a full spread glue down method over concrete or outdoor grade plywood to maintain the warranties. When the carpeting is tacked down in the manner in which you stated it has the potential to shrink and expand with temperature changes, which can prematurely break down the carpeting. Moisture will move through this carpeting. Thank you for your question.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for interest in the carpeting Safari, color Ivy. An acrylic paint can be used, however, we would recommend that you test in an inconspicuous area first to be certain of how the carpeting will react to the paint. Because it is not a typical for carpet to be painted we could not warrant any issues that may be caused by the paint. Also please note that this carpet is not intended for use on playing surfaces.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your interest in our carpeting. In the indoor/Outdoor products that look like grass most of these will not be soft. We do have a needlepunch product called Centry color Graywood that is very low in pile height. You would need to look at the sample to determine if it is soft enough. As far as softness, the product Homespun would be one of our softest. However, this product has a pile height of 18/32". Again, you would need to look at the sample to determine if this fits your needs. Thanks again for your question.
